Privacy policy

Applies to the Cloq-it website, the Cloq-it web app and the Cloq-it iPhone and Android apps. Cloq-it is a product of SkyNova HQ Inc.

Cloq-it is a time clock your employer uses to record hours worked. Your employer (the company that invited you) controls the account and decides which features are on. This page explains what the app collects, why, and who can see it.

What we collect

• Account details: your name, work email, phone number and job title, as entered by you or your employer.
• Time records: clock-in and clock-out times, breaks, the job you worked on, notes, time-off requests and expenses you submit.
• Location, only if your employer's plan includes job-site features:
  • When you clock in, clock out or switch jobs, the app records where the punch happened so your timesheet can show whether it was on site. If your employer requires punching at the job site, the app checks your distance from the site before the punch is accepted.
  • If your employer turns on automatic or reminder clocking, the app watches for you arriving at and leaving the job sites your employer has set up, including when the app is closed. Only the arrival or departure, its time and the position at that moment are sent. The app does not record a continuous trail of where you go.
  • The app checks whether a location came from a fake-location app, so that punches can't be spoofed.
• Device details: device model, operating system, app version and whether location access is allowed, so your employer can see which phones are signed in and ready, and sign one out.

Who can see it

Your managers and the account owner at your employer can see your time records, punch locations and arrival/departure events. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with data brokers. We use service providers only to run the service (hosting, and payment processing for your employer's subscription).

Turning location off

You can change location access at any time in your phone's Settings → Cloq-it → Location. If you turn it off, automatic clocking stops and, if your employer requires punching on site, you won't be able to punch at those jobs from the app. Signing out of the app stops all location monitoring on that phone.

How long we keep it

Time records are kept for as long as your employer keeps its account, because employers are generally required to keep payroll records. Arrival and departure events are kept with the time records they relate to. When your employer deletes its account, its data is deleted.

Your choices

To see, correct or delete your information, ask your employer, who controls the account. You can also email us at hello@cloq-it.com and we will pass your request to them.

Children

Cloq-it is a workplace tool and is not meant for children under 16.

If we change this policy we will update this page and the date below.
